179th Annual Day Celebrations held on November 28th 2017. The programme began by invoking God’s Blessings, followed by Welcome dance and cultural programme by our tiny tots of Head Starters and lower primary school.
The formal programme commenced with a welcome note by Mrs. Sadana, annual reports were presented by the Heads of the Institutions. The meritorious students of the Institution were felicitated. The sports, co-curricular activities and group championship awards were presented to the winners.
The Chief Guest of the day Dr. Sushil Jathanna , Director, Global Multispecialty Hospital, Mangalore, Managing Director of Lombard Memorial Hospital Udupi and Chairman of Red Cross Blood Bank, Mangalore stressed on the fact that “it is only when a student’s hidden talents are highlighted and brought to limelight does a student achieve all round development in his life. Along with academics the students should be encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities too, so that we can mould raw clay into beautiful models of future”.
Another Chief Guest Prof. Rajshekar Hebbar, Principal, Govt. First Grade College, Carstreet highlighted that Educational Institutions play a crucial and constructive role in infusing human values among students along with imparting quality Education. He advised the students not to become puppets in the hands of Electronic gadgets. They should be aware of their responsibilities as a student. Student should organize themselves both physically and mentally so as to face the future challenging competitive world.
Mr. Jayaprakash Simons, President of B.E.M Educational Institutions highlighted that “Parents and Teachers role plays a very vital role in building up the right attitude, consistent efforts and practice to gain mastery over their subjects. He focused on students imbibing good values to build up their Individual Personality”.
Mr. John Anchan, the joint secretary of B.E.M Educational Institutions in his presidential address spoke, “Focusing on the important of joint effort of Management, Staff, Parents and students in the growth of any education institution”.
The stage was then set for a colourful display of entertainment programmes by our High school and College students exhibiting their multifaceted talents in front of a vibrant and enthusiastic audience.
The progamme concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs. Shilpashree , The MC of the days programme was Mr. Aithappa U., Mrs. Sandhya Bhat , Mr. Ravi, Mrs. Smitha, Mr. Madhava, and Mrs. Aparna Praveenchandra.
